Several people have asked for some of the specific language I teach in this situation, and it's from my new on line Sales Gym that is opening soon (check it out once it's open)...here's my suggestion for how she could stay in control:
SELLER: You said you're in a bit of a hurry, how much time do we actually have?
ME: ABOUT 10 MINUTES...
SELLER: Okay, here's what we need to get done in 10 minutes...I need to ask you a few quick questions, then I'll show you the details and answer your immediate questions, and at the end I'd ask for either a YES, this seems like it could be a fit, or NO, this isn't right
ME: WELL I STILL NEED TO TALK WITH THE TEAM
SELLER: Sure...and I'll tell you what I tell others in your position...the reason I ask for a YES or NO, even if it's tentative, is if it's a YES, I highly recommend we do a temp hold on date ranges...and if it's a NO, then we go our separate ways
_______
Of course I'd love to a final YES, but this is probably as good as we can get, and far better than "thanks for the info, I'll call you later"
FYI, The setting of what I call, An Effective Agenda, is something I teach people to do on EVERY call
Come learn how to do it in my Sales Gym, coming soon www.TheGregBennett.com
